Hello everyone! Again I've been out of touch on my blog, getting things done, updating the site, building my portfolio, and career and family stuff to boot!
Today is a quick lesson I've learned when trying to make a living out of this, and it makes a lot of...sense.
When it comes to trying to build yourself a business, you have to take advantage of opportunities when they arise. I enter a lot of contests,, I try to get my companies name out there when I post, or others are posting my photos. There is a dark side to the photography business I guess...the business side. I get to create, tell stories, make people smile. But I still need to worry about advertising, marketing, and what equipment I'm going to have.
And on that note, here is my shameless plug! Snapknot does have some awesome learning aids, they are also running a free giveaway for a Nikon D800 or Canon 5D MKIII. So, one, this post helps me, but hopefully will help others enter this contest too. :)
